Program Details

About: In 2011, Garnier Fructis sponsored four of the country’s largest outdoor music and art festivals where they hosted the Garner Fructis Salon. Concert goers were treated to complimentary hair styling by a professional stylist and then in an effort to promote Garnier Fructis’ sponsorship of the Rolling Stone “Do You Wanna Be a Rock & Roll Star” contest consumers were encouraged to pose for their mock cover of Rolling Stone and have the opportunity to upload their photo straight to their Facebook Wall and News Feed or chose to email their photo.

Event(s): Bonnaroo Music Festival (TN), Outside Lands Music Festival (San Fran), Bumbershoot Music Festival (Seattle), VooDoo Music Festival (New ORL)

Duration: 3-4 days per event

System: PRO, 3 upload kiosk stations per event

Service: We provided one dedicated On-site Project Manager to oversee the photo activation. Garnier provided two of their staff members to assist

Creative Service – We designed and produced the backdrop and watermark designs and provided the “musical” props

Program Highlights

  • Garnier USA gained over 2,000 NEW Page Likes (Fans)
  • Garnier USA’s fan engagement (number of ‘likes’ and ‘comments’) on Facebook consistently increased throughout the 4-event program, ultimately increasing the Brand’s Weekly Total Reach
  • Working closely with Garnier’s Event Agency, AMP each photo concept brought to life the energy and attitude of each music festival and seamlessly tied in their ‘Do you Wanna be a Rock Star?’ promotion with Rolling Stone
  • Over 5,000 consumers participated in their photo experience
